16 Year Old Pakistani Gamer Sumail Hassan Helps His Team Win $6.6 Million Dollars

Pakistan gamer Sumail Hassan has just helped his team win a whooping $6.6 million US Dollars in TI5 or the International 2015, the biggest Dota 2 flagship championship in the world. Earlier this year, Sumail Hasan helped his team win $1.2 million USD. He is just 16 years of age!

Sumail represents an American team called the Evil Geniuses. Before joining the Evil Geniuses, he has been part of Arteezy and zai, two relatively lesser know Dota teams.

The International 2015 was the fifth iteration of Dota 2’s flagship annual championship. The event took place at the KeyArena Center in Seattle, Washington. The tournament began on 16 May 2015 with the Open Qualifiers and closed on 8 August 2015 with the Grand Final, where Evil Geniuses became the first American team (and the third Western team) to be crowned champions after defeating Wild Card winner CDEC Gaming.

The 2015 edition of The International featured sixteen Dota 2 professional teams from all over the world. With a prize pool of over US$18 million, The International 2015 is the largest tournament to ever take place in eSports, breaking the record held by its previous iteration, The International 2014, which accumulated U$10.93 million. The majority of this sum is collected through several in-game items released by Valve, including the The International Compendium 2015, a digital book tied to the event that came with many activities and cosmetic items.

In 2015 alone, Sumail Hassan has helped his team win events that have earned Evil Geniuses more than $11 million USD.
